Kalpana is a haunting short film set in a tranquil small town, where Neo, a photographer, becomes fixated on a mysterious newcomer who fails to appear in his photos. As fear and supernatural intrigue escalate, Neo’s search for answers leads him to unsettling truths that upend his reality. 

I developed the film’s identity, which took shape in the title design and poster. The highlight is the hand-lettered “Kalpana” in kohl, echoing her dark, kohl-smeared eyes and the indelible mark she leaves on Neo’s life. This visual choice captures the film’s elusive tension and lasting impact.
